John A. Martin


John is an industrial hygienist and chemist with 23 years of experience that includes business development, analytical chemistry, hazardous waste characterization, occupational hygiene, and environmental health and safety consulting. He has experience in analytical data review, indoor air quality investigations, indoor vapor intrusion investigation involving petroleum constituents and chlorinated hydrocarbons, mold and moisture investigation and assessment, airborne contaminants and environmental exposure assessments, welding fume assessment, asbestos inspection, OSHA compliance assessment and response, noise and vibration assessment and mitigation design, job hazard analysis, and health and safety planning and implementation.

John has particular experience with nanotechnology and nanoparticle measurement and exposure assessment in the indoor environment.

John is certified by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene in the comprehensive practice of industrial hygiene and is certified by the Institute of Hazardous Materials Managers in the management of hazardous materials. John holds a Bachelor of Science degrees in biology and chemistry from Roger Williams College; a Master of Public Health degree from Boston University; and, a Master of Science and Doctor of Science in industrial hygiene from the University of Massachusetts.
